Bridging eATH from Ethereum to Arbitrum for Pendle Deposits Using Stargate Bridge
This guide explains how to bridge eATH tokens from the Ethereum Mainnet to Arbitrum One using the Stargate Bridge and deposit them into a Pendle pool. Aethir's eATH token is primarily traded on Ethereum, but Pendle pools for eATH are hosted on Arbitrum. By following these steps, you can seamlessly transfer your eATH to Arbitrum and participate in Pendle’s yield opportunities.
Prerequisites
Before starting, ensure you have:
A Web3 wallet (e.g., MetaMask, Trust Wallet) with eATH on the Ethereum Mainnet.
Sufficient ETH on Ethereum to cover gas fees for bridging.
Sufficient ETH or ARB on Arbitrum to cover gas fees for Pendle deposits.
Your wallet configured with both Ethereum and Arbitrum One networks.
Adding Arbitrum One to Your Wallet
If Arbitrum One is not set up in your wallet:
Open your wallet (e.g., MetaMask).
Navigate to the network dropdown and select Add Network > Add a network manually.
Enter the following details:
Network Name: Arbitrum One
RPC URL:
https://arb1.arbitrum.io/rpc
Chain ID:
42161
Currency Symbol: ETH
Block Explorer URL:
https://arbiscan.io
Click Save to add Arbitrum One.
Step 1: Visit the Stargate Finance Bridge
Go to the Stargate Finance bridging platform.
Ensure you are on the legitimate site to avoid phishing scams. Verify the URL is
https://stargate.finance
.
Step 2: Connect Your Wallet
Click Connect Wallet in the top-right corner.
Select your wallet provider (e.g., MetaMask) and approve the connection.
Ensure your wallet is set to the Ethereum Mainnet network.
Step 3: Configure the Bridge Transaction
In the From section:
Select Ethereum as the source chain.
Choose eATH from the token dropdown. If eATH is not listed, ensure your wallet has the correct token contract address for eATH (refer to Aethir’s official documentation for the address).
In the To section:
Select Arbitrum One as the destination chain.
The token should automatically set to eATH.
Enter the amount of eATH you wish to bridge. Ensure you leave enough ETH in your wallet to cover Ethereum gas fees.
Review the estimated Receive amount, which accounts for Stargate’s fees (typically 0.06% or less).

Step 4: Approve and Execute the Bridge
Click Transfer to initiate the process.
Your wallet will prompt you to:
Approve the Stargate contract to access your eATH (a one-time transaction).
Confirm the bridge transaction.
Approve both transactions in your wallet, paying the associated Ethereum gas fees.
Wait for the transaction to complete. Stargate typically processes transfers in 5–20 minutes, depending on network congestion.
Step 5: Verify eATH on Arbitrum
Switch your wallet to the Arbitrum One network.
Check your wallet balance to confirm the eATH has arrived. If eATH does not appear, manually add the token using the Arbitrum eATH contract address.
You can view the transaction details in the Transfer History tab on the Stargate platform or via Arbiscan.
Step 6: Deposit eATH into Pendle
Navigate to the Pendle Finance platform.
Ensure your wallet is connected and set to Arbitrum One.
Go to the Pools or Markets section and locate the eATH pool (e.g., eATH/PT-eATH or similar).
Select the pool and click Deposit or Add Liquidity.
Enter the amount of eATH to deposit and approve the transaction:
Approve the Pendle contract to access your eATH (if required).
Confirm the deposit transaction.
Pay the Arbitrum gas fees (typically low due to Arbitrum’s Layer 2 efficiency).
Once confirmed, your eATH will be deposited into the Pendle pool, and you’ll receive LP tokens or start earning yield, depending on the pool’s structure.
Important Notes
Gas Fees: Bridging from Ethereum requires ETH for gas, which can vary based on network congestion. Deposits on Arbitrum require ETH or ARB, but fees are significantly lower.
Stargate Fees: Stargate charges a small fee (around 0.06%) for bridging, reflected in the estimated receive amount.
Transaction Time: Bridging via Stargate is typically faster than the official Arbitrum Bridge (which has a 7–8 day withdrawal delay). Transfers usually complete within 20 minutes.
Security: Always verify the Stargate and Pendle URLs to avoid phishing. Double-check contract addresses for eATH on both chains.
Pendle Pool Details: Ensure you understand the specific Pendle pool’s yield mechanics (e.g., fixed vs. variable yield, lock-up periods) before depositing.
Troubleshooting
eATH Not Visible on Arbitrum: Manually add the eATH token to your wallet using the correct Arbitrum contract address.

High Gas Fees: Wait for lower Ethereum network congestion or use a gas fee tracker to time your transaction.
Transaction Stuck: Check the status on Arbiscan or Stargate’s Transfer History. Contact Stargate or Aethir support via Discord if issues persist.
Pendle Deposit Fails: Ensure you have sufficient ETH/ARB for Arbitrum gas fees and that the pool is active.
