FAQ

What is the relationship between Owner wallet and Burner wallet?

The Owner wallet is the wallet address that holds your non-transferrable NFT. Once you install the Checker Node Client, you can create a burner wallet inside the Checker Client. Token rewards will be accrued inside your Owner wallet and can only be claimed and withdrawn from the Owner wallet.

Why does my client keep crashing?

Ensure your machine meets the minimum hardware requirements for running a Checker node. These requirements are indicative of a machine running only the Checker services. If crashes occur due to high resource usage, consider switching to a higher-performance machine.

Why does my Windows sometimes perform auto reboot when running a Checker client?

It is your responsibility to ensure nodes stay online to earn rewards. Windows may auto-reboot unexpectedly due to known Microsoft features. Check Microsoft's guide on managing device restarts after updates here, or consider switching to a Linux machine or using VPS or NaaS services.

How can I migrate from a old machine to a new one without losing the licenses delegated to me?

You can export your burner wallet and import to the client on your new machine.

If you accidentally created a new wallet in the Windows GUI and wish to import the old wallet, delete the wallet file at "C:\Windows\Aethir\yxpri.pem" and restart your machine.

How can I verify whether I have set up the nodes properly?

  1. Make sure your machine meets the minimum hardware requirements.

  2. Make sure the nodes are either in Checking or Ready status.

Why did my nodes disappear after upgrading to a new version?

It is a known issue that has been fixed in v1.0.2.4. It might also be caused by your node owner undelegating the licenses during your upgrade period.

Is there a way to update my client, without uninstalling and reinstalling manually all the time?

Unfortunately for CLI versions v1.0.2.4 and below, you're unable to update automatically. Thus, you may need to download the latest version off our website at app.aethir.com. For versions after v1.0.2.4, please check the update guide here.

Why did my cli constantly get errors for commands I input after I created a burner wallet?

Please note that until the burner wallet is registered in the Checker System, the attempt of using the following commands will result in errors:

  • aethir license [additional commands][parameters]

  • aethir setting capacity [value]

Where can I find the log files for troubleshooting?

Providing log files can help expedite the troubleshooting process when you contact support. The log files are located in the installation directory. Here are the typical locations for different environments:

  • Windows (GUI version): C:\Program Files\AethirChecker\log

  • VPS/Linux (CLI version): /user/bin/AethirCheckerCLI-linux/log

The exact location may vary depending on where you installed the application
