Service Fees

What are Service Fees?

Service Fees are the cloud rendering fees paid by developers to container providers for utilizing their computational resources. These fees are priced in fiat currency but settled in ATH tokens.

Pricing

  • The Aethir platform sets uniform prices for containers based on their region and specifications. (See K-Value Table)

  • Separate pricing structures exist for Reserve (pre-booked) and OnDemand (dynamic pricing) modes.

  • Initially, service fees are determined by Lab, but in the future, they will be subject to DAO voting for decentralized decision-making.

Exchange Rate

  • The platform calculates an average ATH exchange rate by considering transaction prices from various chains and centralized exchanges.

  • This exchange rate is updated every minute to reflect market fluctuations.

  • The ATH/USD exchange rate at the time of order establishment is used for settlement and remains unaffected by subsequent ATH price changes.

Refund Policy

  • If a user's service is disrupted due to container downtime during the service period, a refund is triggered.

  • For OnDemand orders, the full amount for the affected period is not settled.

  • For Reserve orders, the fee for the current 24-hour settlement period is not settled.

  • In both cases, the platform waives its 20% fee on the refunded amount.

Platform/Protocol Fee on Service Fees

  • The platform will take a 20% fee on all service fees as a protocol fee.

Price Adjustment

  • Ongoing orders are not affected by price adjustments.

  • If a Reserve order is renewed after its expiration, the renewal price will be based on the new, adjusted price.
