# Key Terms and Concepts

* System/Network: The Aethir platform or protocol as a whole
* Container: The fundamental unit of computing resources provided by stakers
* K-value: A numerical representation of a container's value contribution and reward potential based on its specifications and region
* Staking Coefficient: A global average representing the monthly revenue potential of containers
* Proof of Capacity (PoC): A reward mechanism for keeping containers online and available
* Proof of Delivery (PoD): A reward mechanism for successfully completing rendering tasks
* Slashing: A penalty mechanism where a portion of staked tokens is deducted for container downtime or other issues
* Service Fee: The fee paid by developers to container providers for cloud rendering services
* Fingerprint: A unique identifier for a container, calculated using its MAC address, CPU, and GPU configuration
